Moneymaker Lily Turf Description

Liriope muscari Moneymaker is a versatile evergreen perennial valued for its narrow, grass like foliage and attractive seasonal flower spikes. Commonly known as Lily Turf, it provides a neat, structured appearance while remaining suitable for a variety of planting schemes.

The evergreen foliage of this lily turf helps maintain colour and structure through the cooler months. During the flowering season, the plant produces attractive flower spikes that add another layer of interest to borders and containers.

Liriope Moneymaker is particularly useful for edging paths, filling spaces beneath shrubs and creating low growing planting around trees and larger plants. Its compact habit also makes it suitable for smaller gardens where a dependable, space conscious plant is required.

For gardeners looking for a Liriope muscari UK planting option, Moneymaker can perform well when planted in suitable soil and given appropriate moisture. It is adaptable enough for both traditional and contemporary garden designs.

Pruning Advice

Moneymaker Lily Turf requires minimal maintenance. Remove damaged or untidy foliage as needed to maintain a neat appearance.

In late winter or early spring, older foliage can be trimmed back before fresh growth emerges. Take care not to cut into newly developing shoots.

Spent flower spikes can also be removed once flowering has finished if a tidier appearance is preferred.
