Eversheen Sedge Description

Carex oshimensis Eversheen is a distinctive ornamental sedge with narrow, arching foliage in vibrant lime green shades. Its fresh colour provides a useful contrast against darker planting and creates a bright, contemporary appearance.

The Eversheen Sedge works particularly well in mixed borders, woodland style planting and containers. Its fine foliage adds movement and softness while its compact form allows it to be used towards the front of borders or in smaller garden spaces.

It can also be combined with plants featuring contrasting foliage colours and textures to create a layered planting scheme with year round visual interest.

Pruning Advice

Eversheen Sedge is relatively low maintenance. Remove dead, damaged or untidy leaves in late winter or early spring to maintain a fresh appearance.

Avoid cutting the entire plant back too heavily. Carefully remove older foliage while retaining healthy leaves to preserve the natural shape and encourage fresh growth.

Clear away dead material around the base when necessary as part of regular seasonal maintenance.
