Everest Sedge Description

Carex Everest is a distinctive ornamental sedge recognised for its attractive green foliage edged with creamy white margins. The fine leaves form a neat, gently arching clump that provides long lasting texture and contrast.

The bright variegation makes Everest Sedge particularly useful for breaking up blocks of darker foliage.

It can be planted towards the front of borders, alongside shrubs or within mixed planting schemes to create a lighter layer of colour.

Its compact form also makes it suitable for containers, patios and smaller garden spaces where a versatile ornamental grass is required.

Pruning Advice

Everest Sedge is relatively low maintenance. Remove dead, damaged or untidy foliage in late winter or early spring to encourage a fresh appearance.

Avoid cutting the entire plant back too severely. Carefully remove older foliage while retaining healthy leaves to preserve the plant's natural form.

Clear away dead material around the base when required as part of regular seasonal maintenance.
