Berberis thunbergii 'Rose Glow' Hedging Plants Description

The young foliage of Berberis thunbergii 'Rose Glow', displayed on arching branches, begins as a deep purple and gradually develops into a striking mix of pink, cream, and silver variegation, which lasts throughout the summer. In autumn, the leaves turn a vibrant red before falling, as this is a deciduous variety.

In late spring, 'Rose Glow' produces small pale yellow flowers, tinged with red, followed by bright red berries in the autumn. The variegation is enhanced by annual pruning in autumn or winter. This variety grows approximately 25 cm per year and thrives in poor soils, performing well in most locations except those that are very wet or in full shade.
